Australian Show Dog of

Australian Show Dog of 2010

 

Show Dog of the Month and Show Dog of 2010 shall include separate monthly and annual competitions for-

a) Minor Puppy Show Dog (aged 6-9mths)

b) Puppy Show Dog (aged 9-12mths)

                     c)  Junior Show Dog (ages 12- 18mths),

d)  Intermediate Show Dog (18- 36mths), and

e) Open Show Dog (36mths & over).

These will now be referred to as the .Show Dog Competitions. They are Annual & Monthly competitions running concurrently.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE COMPETITION BEFORE 1 NOVEMBER 2010. The Competition closes on 5 January the following year. Wins from any month will be accepted before closing date of the competition.

ENTRY FEES

The Annual Entry Fee- FREE. Entrants must agree to the Terms and Conditions of entry before being accepted into the competition.

REGISTRATION

  1. Each entrant must register online providing a show photo of the dog (must be jpg attachment less than 800k) to be included in the competition, and provide the following details-

·         Breed

·         Sex

·         Dogs name and title

·         Dogs date of birth

·         Owners Name

·         Owners address (must include country)

·         Owners Phone Number

·         Owners Email address

·         State where dog is shown and resides

·         Sire and Dam of the Dog

a)   The entrant provides surety to Showdogs that they own the entrant. If the entrant is jointly owned, the entrant provides surety to Showdogs that they have the authority/agreement with the co-owner/s to enter the dog in this competition.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. To be eligible for the Australian Competitions, all dogs must be registered with an Australian State Canine Controlling Body and reside in and be shown in Australia during the time period.
  2. The time period for the Show Dog Competitions of 2010 means between 1/1/2010 and 31/12/2010. Final submissions for the Show Dog Competitions of 2010 close on 5 January the following year.
  3. You only need to register your dog once during the year in the Showdog of 2010 Competition to be eligible for the Monthly and Annual separate competitions of Minor Puppy Show Dog, Puppy Show Dog, Junior Show Dog, Intermediate Show Dog, and Open Show Dog.
  4. The time period for the Show Dog Competitions of the Month means one entire calendar month, ie one competition for each of the 12 months for 2010. You are only eligible for the Show Dog Competitions of the Month if your dog is registered and you have submitted all your wins for that month by the 2nd of the following month.
  5. The Australian Show Dog Competitions of 2010 are divided into the 7 ANKC Breed Groups and 8 State/Territories- Vic, NSW,  ACT, Qld, SA, WA, NT and TAS.  A dog shall be deemed to be entered under the State/Territory for which they have submitted the most awards (not the most points).
  6. There are 5 Age Competitions- Minor Puppy Show Dog, Puppy Show Dog, Junior Show Dog, Intermediate Show Dog and Open Show Dog.  
  7. All Competitors compete for The Australian Show Dog of 2010. The dog with the highest overall points wins the Australian Show Dog of 2010 award and prize. The dog with the second overall points wins the R/Up Show Dog of 2010.
  8. In the case of a draw, the highest number of Championship (includes Royal Shows) Best In Show awards will win. If outright winners are still not achieved, then the most Championship R/up Best In Shows, then most Championship Best In Groups, and down the table until a winner can be declared. The highest number of Royal awards will not be the decider.

POINTS

  1. For the Australian Show Dog of 2010, points will apply for Australian Championship Shows, Australian Open Shows and Australian Royal Shows held between 1/1/2010 and 31/12/2010.
  2. Championship and Open Shows are divided into single Breed shows (referred to as Breed Shows), single Group Shows (referred to as Group Shows), any Show where there is more than one breed or Group participating (referred to as Multi-breed shows).
  3. Entrants can submit the two highest awards gained at each show to earn points for their entry.
  4. You must only submit your two wins ONCE. Points for the Show Dog Competitions of the Month are automatically added to your tally for the Show Dog Competitions of 2010.
  5. If you missed entering the Show Dog Competitions of the Month and have registered for the Show Dog Competitions of the Year, you can still submit your wins for any month at anytime.
  6. The first 3 Winners of EACH of the Show Dog Competitions of the Month (Minor, Puppy, Junior, Intermediate, Open) will earn bonus points for that competition. These bonus points also count towards their annual total score. The points are: 1st Place- 20 points, 2nd Place- 19 points, 3rd Place- 18 points. There will be no State or Group Winners for the Show Dog Competitions of the Month.
  7. There are 2 additional points if you win a class In Show or class in Group at Shows with over 1000 dogs. Royal Shows are not included. You must email to judy@showdogs.com.au the portion of the catalogue which provides proof of these numbers, (or other proof) to claim these additional points. No proof, no points allowed.
  8. The NSW Dogs Spring Fair is classed as a Royal Show in 2010.

LEADERBOARDS

  1. The leaderboards for the Australian Show Dog Competitions of the Month will be published no later than 10th of each month, and the monthly winner will be announced no later than 4th of the next month.
  2. The leaderboards for the Australian Show Dog Competitions of 2010 will begin to be published by the end of January.



Any discrepancies/disputed wins will be checked with the entrant, and entrants may be required to provide proof of their win via notification from the Secretary of the Show. If proof is not provided and/or the dispute resolved by the close of the month, the win shall not be counted. No correspondence shall be entered into.

Winners will be displayed as (Australian) Minor Puppy Show Dog, Puppy Show Dog, Junior Show Dog, Intermediate Show Dog or Open Show Dog of (name of month) on the front page for the following month and will be entered into the Hall of Fame (History Board). Winners will be required to send 4 additional photos for this display.
